# Allocate from Vault

> POST /v1/orgs/:organization_id/transfers/fund — move USDC from a vault to a pocket wallet

Allocates USDC from a vault wallet to a pocket wallet inside the same organization.

This is an operator-surface route. Wallet-scoped runtime keys are rejected before body validation.

## Request

```http theme={null}
POST /v1/orgs/<ORG_ID>/transfers/fund
Authorization: Bearer <token>
Content-Type: application/json
```

```json theme={null}
{
  "vault_wallet_id": "uuid",
  "pocket_wallet_id": "uuid",
  "amount_usdc": 5,
  "memo": "Initial allocation"
}
```

## Response

```json theme={null}
{
  "transfer_id": "uuid",
  "status": "confirmed",
  "settlement_mode": "gasless",
  "tx_hash": "0xabc123...",
  "from_wallet_id": "uuid",
  "to_wallet_id": "uuid",
  "from_address": "0xvault...",
  "to_address": "0xpocket...",
  "amount_usdc": 5,
  "network": "eip155:8453",
  "block_number": 12345678,
  "completed_at": "2026-05-03T12:00:00.000Z"
}
```

## Important constraint

Browser-signed orgs cannot allocate from the vault because the server does not hold the vault private key. In that case the route returns `400 VAULT_ALLOCATION_UNAVAILABLE`.
