# Explain Decision

> Decision forensics and explanation

Returns the agent-facing decision record plus linked spend request context. Use this to understand why a request was approved, denied, or escalated.

### Response

Returns the decision event with:

* `outcome` — `approved`, `throttled`, `escalated`, `denied`
* `reason_code` — Machine-readable reason
* `reason_text` — Human-readable explanation
* `risk_score` — Computed risk score
* Linked spend request context (intent, URL, host)

This route is intentionally redacted for agent/runtime callers:

* `alignment_score` and `alignment_factors` are stripped
* `policy_snapshot` and `provider_snapshot` are stripped
* operator-only `reason_text` suffixes such as `Factors: ...` are removed
