# Budget Status

> Budget and mandate snapshot for a wallet

Returns the current budget status for a wallet, including spending limits, current usage, and mandate details.

## Authentication

Any credential with access to the target wallet can call this route:

* wallet-bound tenant key
* org-wide tenant key
* authorized platform session
* static operator key

Wallet resolution rules:

* `wallet_id` query wins when present
* wallet-bound tenant keys auto-fill their bound wallet when `wallet_id` is omitted
* org-wide tenant keys must send `wallet_id`
* static operator and some local/demo paths fall back to `AGENT_WALLET_ID`

## Errors

* `400 VALIDATION_ERROR`: `wallet_id` is required for an org-wide tenant key
* `403 REJECTED_POLICY`: caller cannot access that wallet
* `404 NOT_FOUND`: wallet does not exist
* `REJECTED_POLICY`: mandate is missing for the target wallet
